Autumn is a time of year when the weather changes, people start fresh in their lives, and festivities begin. It is a time to get back into business and celebrate the new exciting things life is about to offer. My five favorite things about the September-November months are:
Apple Picking
Apple picking is a fun and classic autumn activity. It is a great way to spend time with your family, significant other, or friends. Fresh apples are often better than store bought since you get to pick them yourself and there is a plethora to choose from. It is especially exciting when your mom turns those apples into dessert!
Dressing Up
Halloween is not only good for the candy, but it offers people the chance to turn themselves into something creative. This is a time where artists break from their creative shells and come up with beautiful costumes and characters alike. It is a time for those of us who shy themselves from the world, to display who we truly are and want to be.
Pumpkins, Pumpkins, Pumpkins
Need I say more? Around September to October, Pumpkins are a high demand and shortages often take place as Halloween gets closer. There are so many uses for pumpkins such as baking, creating, and decorating. So many different scents result in pumpkins and great Starbucks coffee drinks as well! They offer another great family weekend well spent and just by taking them home, there are many opportunities to use pumpkins. Carved pumpkins are a great yard decoration!
Colors
The colors of the season are what make autumn so enjoyable and beautiful. The leaves are falling on the ground in reds, oranges, and yellows, resulting in great photography opportunities and an overall pretty sight to see.
Sweaters, Coppers, and Scarves
As a girl, autumn is a blessing because it brings back the comfortable sweaters, the copper-colored makeup, and the comfortable hug of an infinity scarf around your neck. It is a great time for deep-red and purple lipstick. The freshness of fall means creative outfits and experimental makeup!
Here's to new beginnings!
