A lot of people say Delaware is such a small state with nothing to do but they are wrong. Ever come to Delaware and you don't know where to go? I can help you with this one. There are a lot of things to do in Delaware. I grew up in Lewes Delaware but spent most my time in Rehoboth Beach because of a family business.
1. Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk- Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
The Rehoboth Beach boardwalk is home to many tourists. Many tourists come from everywhere and visit the beach and see their families. You can see a lot of tourists come to this area. There are a lot of restaurants and things for children to enjoy here.
2. Cape Henlopen State Park- Lewes, Delaware
The Cape Henlopen State Park is a very old and historic park in Delaware. It his home to many old World War II artillery, bunkers, Nature Centers, Bike Rentals, Beaches, and a nice cement path to walk on. The State Park beaches and camping grounds are really popular.
You are able to buy a pass for the State Park to get in free. If you are not from Delaware then there is a $9 out of state fee. The Beaches allow you to drive on and go fishing or just have a nice day on the beach with your family.
3. Funland- Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
Funland is located on the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.It is home to the Haunted Mansion, The Sea Dragon, The Superflip and many other rides. It was my favorite place to go to when I was younger. Funland attracts young children with its thrilling rides and fun games. There are prizes that you can win playing the games. In order to go on the rides, you have to be a certain height and pay money for the tickets. Tickets are cheap because in Delaware there is NO tax!!
4. The Delaware State Fair- Harrington, Delaware
The Delaware State Fair occurs during the last two weeks of the month of July. The State Fair hosts many fun events. There are concerts that the hair has to drag more people in and see their attractions. The Delaware State Fair usually has a lot going on during its time.
There are using concerts every night with special guest stars. There are also a lot of Comedians that come and put on a show. The Demolition Derby is a very popular eventuate drags people of all ages to watch. The Fair also offers carnival rides, petting zoos, and many other experiences.
5. Jungle Jims Waterpark- Rehoboth Beach, Delaware
Jungle Jim’s Waterpark is a very family oriented place. Many families come to this waterpark during the summer. Jungle Jim’s has 6 waterslides and many other pools to enjoy! There is a nice food court in the waterpark. Jungle Jim’s has a relaxing lazy river you can ride and get some sun!
6. Screams at the Beach - Georgetown, Delaware
Screams at the Beach is a place for people of all ages to spend a night in a haunted town and visit different attractions. It is only open for Halloween. I have been there before and it is worth it. It does cost an admission fee. It is located at Sports at the Beach. (But they change it to Screams). There are food stands and many memories that are made here! Go check it out if you're brave enough :)
7. Frightland- New Castle, Delaware.
Frightland is also a Halloween attraction that draws in many people of all ages. It has more attractions than Screams at the Beach. It has haunted rides that you ride at your own risk and many jump scares at random moments. Frightland is absolutely the place to go if you want to get scared for Halloween!
