2015 has been a year filled with tons of different beauty trends, in fact, it can be said that 2015 was one of the biggest years for makeup trends, so let's start there.
Makeup Trends:
1. Ombre Lips: In the world of makeup, ombre lips have been a growing trend. This style creates an illusion of full lips, and they look absolutely gorgeous.
2. Clown Contouring: Contouring has been a huge trend this year, but the biggest trend has to be clown contouring. It all started when beauty guru Belladelune posted a picture of herself counteracting those who say she looks like a clown. The result: a beautiful way to contour!
3. Matte Lipstick: Matte lipstick is very popular, with nearly every cosmetic brand creating their own.
4. Overdrawn Lips: This popular trend started going viral when Kylie Jenner showed off her big, yet totally gorgeous, lips. This inspired the Kylie Jenner Lip Challenge, and a new line of Kylie Jenner Lip Kits.
5. The Power of Makeup: This isn't necessarily a beauty trend, however, it is one of the best and most inspiring viral videos in the world of makeup. YouTube beauty guru Nikkie De Jager started this trend when she wanted to demonstrate the true power of makeup by only putting makeup on half of her face.
Hair Trends:
1. Gray hair: One of the biggest hair trends of 2015, gray hair has grown on men and women of all ages.
2.Rainbow roots: First seen on Lottie Tomlinson, the rainbow root trend is definitely an incredibly fun trend.
3. Glitter roots: The glitter root trend didn't seem to last long, but it definitely left a lasting impression.
4. Balayage: Much like an ombre, the balayage is a beautiful way to highlight hair.
5. Faux bangs: Fake bangs are easier than making the commitment to cut your bangs.
Nail Trends:
1. Water marble: A beautiful, yet extremely difficult technique.
2. Dry Marble: A similar, simpler technique to water marble.
3. Shattered glass: The thought of shattered glass nails would usually make one cringe, but it's so worth it for the iridescent look.
4. Satin nails: Similar to matte nails, the satin finish is soft looking and gorgeous for those who don't prefer a gloss finish.
5. Pointy nails: Sharp as a knife.
All of these gorgeous trends are (hopefully) going to make it to 2016. But who knows what 2016 has to offer in the world of beauty? I definitely can't wait!
