unDear Friend,

I hope you're enjoying heaven. I'm sure you are , I can only imagine that at this very moment you are dancing on the streets made of gold. Or maybe even playing your guitar, singing for everybody to hear. You know, everybody always tell me that you're in a better place, but sometimes I wish you were here. I miss you. We miss you.

I'll never forget when I got the phone call saying you were gone. I thought it was some sick joke our friends were playing on me. Reality soon hit me as I fell to the ground sobbing. Every inch of my body went numb, I couldn't believe my best friend was gone. Not this young, it wasn't possible.Who was going to make me laugh when my life shattered, who was going to be my best friend until the end of time? All of these thoughts ran through my head as I begged God to bring you back, how could someone so pure and innocent be taken from the world so abruptly. I could not wrap my mind around it, and certainly didn't understand what had happened. I soon found that you had passed in a tragic accident. I was somewhat at peace to know that you didn't have to feel the pain of the crash, or see the weeping of friends and family.

Every day, I wake up and look at your guitar pick and fight back the tears. I am overwhelmed with several different emotions from the time that we dated, to becoming best friends, and all the silly fights and hilarious conversations we would have. I knew going anywhere in public with you would be fun, you always knew how to make everyone around you laugh, even strangers. However; my favorite characteristic about you was your ability to shine God's light even in the darkest situations. You had the greatest faith of any man I have ever met, you would praise God even if the sky was falling down. You taught me how to worship, how to love others the way God would. If it wasn't for you I honestly believe I would have never found God, and built a relationship with him. You'll never be able to see all of the lives you changed, but I can promise you there are hundreds. Everyone will always remember you by being the amazing, loving, caring, God-fearing man that you were. I wish that my future children would have had the honor to meet you like I did.

I could go on for days about all the silly memories we made together. Growing up together we were able to build the strong friendship I miss so dearly. I miss your off-beat dancing, and the way you would dance at concerts. You were always a good sport, even when everyone picked on you for struggling with a dance movie. You never gave up, you always managed to figure out the move. I miss having heart-to-heart conversations with you, it always led to us crying and praying together ... I miss your blue eyes and smile.... I miss everything about you.

If I could only see you one more time and wrap my arms around you I would make sure you knew how much I love and appreciated you. I am beyond blessed to have had such an amazing friend. Even though I still miss you more than words can even begin to describe, I know you are in a better place. The place you have always wanted to be. Your legacy and amazing anointing will live forever and I thank you for being unapologetically you. I love and miss you, my sweet friend.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

8tracks radio

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. You know when you're going through and you hear a song where you're just like "I forgot this existed!" and before you know it, you're singing every word? Yeah, me too. Like, 95% of the time. If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
