The days leading up to an exam can be a really stressful time for students. Trying to find time to study can almost be impossible when you have a million other things on your plate. Other assignments, readings, your job, etc. can really get in the way of trying to dedicate enough time to study in order to do well on the exam. If you're a student, I'm sure that you've had at least 3/4 of these thoughts before an exam day.
Three Days Before The Exam
1. Wait, the exam is in three days? What?
2. Well this is just not enough time for me to study.
3. I literally don't know anything.
4. OK, this is fine, I can do this.
5. Time to cram.
6. Haha yeah I can't do this, I'm gonna fail.
7. How am I supposed to learn all of this material in three days?
8. *&$% why didn't I start studying sooner??
9. Can I still get an A in the class if I fail this exam?
10. "Pls help".
Two Days Before The Exam
11. I studied for seven hours last night and I feel like I still don't know anything.
12. I don't even know what I don't know.
13. Goodbye GPA.
14. Should I drop out?
15. I have so many other assignments due the same day as the exam, why does this happen?
16. Well I guess I'm not sleeping tonight, that's alright.
17. I'm starting to feel like I understand more now.
18. Annnnd, feeling gone.
19. I'm doomed. This is the end.
20. *Prays to the exam Gods*
The Day Before The Exam
21. Today is my last chance to cram.
22. *Drinks six cups of coffee in three hours*
23. What else do I need to know?
24. Have I covered everything?
25. What is the meaning of life?
26. *Starts watching cat videos*
27. OK FOCUS!
28. I'm running out of time.
29. Wow I do this before every exam, why am I like this?
30. Alright, it's whatever at this point, I'm gonna hope for the best.
Why do we do this to ourselves? Maybe one day we will learn to start studying well in advance so we don't have these thoughts before every single exam. We probably won't though because hey, we're college students, it's what we do. We work best under pressure.
