Knowing that your fall semester starts in either a week or just a few short days, there are tons of thoughts running through your head. You think about all of the supplies you need, the textbooks you have yet to buy, and the schedules you have yet to look at. There is so much more that goes into the beginning of a new semester besides just showing up; however, you truly have no idea where you are going to find all this time to complete it all. As someone who starts classes this coming week, I have compiled a list of some of my most relatable thoughts I have had during these past few days of preparation.
1. Where are my textbooks?
Your classes casually start soon and you have no idea whether or not you actually have bought your textbooks. Keep in mind that these books range in prices from ten dollars to a hundred and you barely have any money to your name at the moment. You were totally waiting on your financial aid to come in clutch; therefore, it has came down to three day before classes start and you still have no books.
2. Where is my backpack?
You could have sworn that you kept your backpack in your closet over the summer so you would not lose it, but guess where it was...not in the closet! You have searched high and low for it and apparently it has grown legs and walked away. Looks like you will be carrying all of your stuff to class with no backpack, because you are five-thousand percent done with searching for it!
3. I hope I don't get lost finding my classes...
You are terrible with finding places so you automatically assume that you will get lost finding your classes. You might as well just prepare yourself for the embarrassment of walking into the wrong class.
4. Back to living the broke, college life.
I wonder how long it will take to memorize how much a large pizza with tax included costs? After buying a parking pass, textbooks, school supplies, and everything else, I have like thirty dollars to start the semester with, but hey that is fine...
5. When am I going to be able to take naps?
Alright, I do not play around when it comes to naps so, they need to planned out accordingly or bad things will happen. Yes, I write my naps into my planner...don't hate!
6. It is already time to go back?
Well, looks like summer is officially over which means goodbye to all the fun and sanity in my life. How is it even time to start back classes, it feels like I just came home last week?
7. LET'S DO THIS!
Alright, it is time to get down to business! I am going to go into this year and kick college's butt!
