Thirteen Move-in Day Thoughts

It's that time of year again. It's the time when college students from all walks of life pack up their bags and relocate their lives from home into dorm rooms. It's move-in day.

Now, to anyone who has experienced this infamous day, you know that it can be quite frustrating and chaotic. Nevertheless, there is no better feeling of accomplishment than crawling into your neatly made bed at night, knowing that the process is over.

So, without further ado, here is a list of thirteen thoughts you will have throughout move-in day.

1: I am going to wake up at the crack of dawn so that I can be the first one in line to get my key.

2: Wait, why is there already a GIANT line at 8 am? I thought that I was ahead of the game!

3: Wow, my car is so full that if I open the trunk, everything might just come tumbling out and onto the pavement...wish me luck.

4: There is no elevator...crap.

5: I will just try to make it up and down in a couple of trips, I can do this.

6: Wait these boxes are heavy. Why are my arms so short? Why do all of the boxes slide off of each other? Why did I bring so much stuff?

7: I have gone up and down the stairs twelve times, and I'm still not done yet.

8: There is definitely not enough room for all of my stuff.

9: Why did I bring so much stuff?

10: When will I ever need all of this stuff?!

11: I should just quit already...

12: Is this the last box? Am I actually done?

13: Wait...now I have to put all of this stuff away....NOOOOOOOOO!

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

8tracks radio

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

beer on the beach

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
