When I was going to high school, things were not that easy for me. I was bullied, harassed, ignored by girls and didn't have a lot of friends. That is until I came to college.

In Albert Einstein High School, people are less accepting of others than in college. They can pick on you and belittle you for who you are and what you do. I have had multiple bullies during my tenure at high school and it is both exhausting and depressing to go to school every day and endure whatever people throw at you and it is also very hard to keep your grades up because you are so worried about what others will think of you should you get good grades. They may call you an anti-social loser or a know-it-all. That's why some students stay in the back of the class and stay quiet so that way they will have a better chance of not being talked about.

What I have noticed about public high school is that male bullies tend to be more physically aggressive and female bullies such as the cheerleaders and popular girls that think they are above everybody else tend to be more verbal in their bullying methods towards so called "creepers" like me. Female bullies will most likely try to humiliate men then physically attack them. Both have happened to me.

I was in two different high schools before I came to Manhattanville College. The first high school I went to was probably one of the worst schools I have ever set foot in. I didn't keep my grades up, and only talked with people that I thought were my friends but just smiled in my face to be nice and talked B.S. about me. The second high school I went to was a lot better. I got on the honor roll every quarter there, but I still had a tough time making friends that were my own age.I remember going to homecoming for my first time when I was a Junior at Archbishop Carroll High School and the girl I went with ignored me the whole time that i was there. I was a wallflower for the whole night.

It wasn't until I came to Manhattanville College that I blossomed both socially and academically. I was so welcomed by these people that I never knew I could make friends this fast and this easy and I have never been happier at another school.
