We've all been there. You lose sleep or stay out in the cold all day and you know it's coming. Not being able to stop the oncoming cold is only followed by a full fledged cold. The stages of an cold are something we all have to deal with, and if you're like me it is pretty much on a schedule.
1. The incident.
Typically there is a catalyst moment that will begin the cold. It might be a few days without sleep, a day out in the cold all day, or a small kid sneezing all over you. You likely go to bed that night feeling great.
2. A scratch in the back of your throat.
You know the feeling when you wake up and its hard to swallow? Yeah -- it's the beginning of the end.
3. All the vitamin C you can find.
All of it. Keep chugging.
