College classes are interesting, to say the least. You'll meet people who you're not sure how you've lived without, and some you could live with never running into again.

1. The one who is always early

You know the one who is always there when you walk into the classroom? Yeah, that's a pretty good way to tell that they're a freshman. Don't worry, we've all been there.

2. The one who asks too many questions*

I understand that you're interested in the subject, but that's why professors' office hours and Google exist. Seriously, please stop. We just want to go get coffee because listening to you has been exhausting.

*If you're asking questions because you're confused, go ahead. We'll probably all thank you for it later.

3. The one who is perpetually late

It's seriously a talent to be late every. single. day. We all know how hard it is to find parking, but it would be a lot easier if you would set your alarm a little earlier.

4. The one who thinks it's nap time

Honestly, naps are life, but make it wait until after class. Your snoring is super distracting.

5. The one who always has their homework done

Shout-out to you! You've saved me so many times. Thank you for being someone I know I can count on, especially on those nights I decided to stay up too late and watch Netflix instead of educating myself. I'll definitely bring you a coffee the next time our class meets.

6. The one who is your best friend

You knew you would be best friends from the minute they sat next to you and offered to share their cookies with you. This class wouldn't be the same without them.

7. The one who thinks they're funny

We get it. You think you're funny. Please save yourself the embarrassment and stop talking; you'd be doing us all a favor.

8. The one who informs everyone about their personal life

Sure, I'd love to see a picture of your new puppy, but let's not talk about how your Aunt Beatrice got the stomach flu for the 5th time this semester.

9. The one who is always sick

Maybe try focusing on your immune system instead of forcing yourself to come to class. We definitely don't want to catch your germs.

10. The one who always needs your notes

Is it really that hard for you to pay attention? I could be making a profit off of all the notes I've given you over the course of the semester.

11. The one who creeps you out

He's the one who always seems to be looking in your direction. We all know him, and we do our best to avoid him at all costs.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
