Dear Mom and Dad,

Thank you for everything that you have done for me. Thank you for supporting me through my stubborn and irresponsible moments. Thank you for loving me when I was young and naïve. Thank you for being on my side every day of my life.

It’s pretty awesome knowing that I can always turn to you whether I’m feeling stressed and absolutely done with what I have been given or I’m the most positive and the happiest I’ve ever been. Thank you for never turning your back on me or shutting me out when you didn’t agree with something I said or did. I am almost twenty-one years old and it’s an amazing feeling to know that you have been there for me when I was taking my first steps and moving into my freshman dorm. You never left. You constantly cared. You gave me the best I could have ever asked for.

Mom and Dad, you are my best friends and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Whether it was the phone calls we had while I was walking to class, the incredible family vacations you took me on, or the family dinners we had every night when I was growing up; I always knew I could count on you. These are the moments that I will cherish the most and these are the moments that I will be able to look back on and know that I had the absolute best parents.

Thank you, mom and dad for always telling me that I can do anything if I believe and have the right attitude. Thank you for supporting me in my decisions, even if they were risky, because you trusted me. Thank you for teaching me to look at the positives and working hard every day to give me a fortunate life. Thank you for giving me every tool to help me succeed in this world. I know I will do great things because you raised me in the greatest way. Because of you I am able to attack life with passion and achieve my goals through love, compassion, and your support.

I know I may haven’t been the best child all the time, but mom and dad you were always the best parents. Thank you for everything. I love you.
