Megan Fox, The 'New Girl'

Nope. No. Not OK.

Megan Fox, The 'New Girl'

“Pardon me. No,” were my first thoughts reading the headline, “Megan Fox Will Replace Zooey Deschanel In The New Season Of ‘New Girl’.” Those words gave me straight up anxiety and a couple tears. Why would the producers allow this? There is no replacing Jessica Day. It is simply not ethical.

And with Megan Fox, who is known for roles with minimal clothing. She certainly doesn't seem like a dessert person. I assume from the lack of a male audience, this is a smart move that will gain a diverse audience. It's obvious how Schmidt is going to react. However, many regular fans have publicized their disapproval with this decision. Don't get me wrong, I am not hating on Megan Fox, I'm just not thrilled about her presence on the show. How ever nice Megan Fox may be, many "New Girl" fans are not pleased; how can we relate to Megan Fox???? There is not a lot of fair comparison between Megan Fox and the average me. Jessica Day is the person fans can heavily relate to. Her dance moves, her awkward encounters, her struggles with dealing with men, the fact that most of the time she has no idea what she's doing with her life, we all get it; we all know it well. Jess says everything we are thinking and takes it to a whole new extent.

Example A: Like when she explained the real life female struggle in the most accurate way possible.

Example B: She knows what she wants and just goes for it. It might not be graceful, but she doesn't go a moment without being herself through the process.

Great execution, Jess.

Example C: TBT to the time Jess and Nick were not together, and her single life accurately described every thought a single person has ever had.

Example D: Jess is the poster woman for femininity and feminism. Having a love for small cute animals, pretty dresses, and arts and crafts, doesn't mean these women are weak, dependent, or airheads.

Although the headlines state Fox will replace Deschanel, do not fret, my fellow "New Girl"-ians, this is not permeant. Fox appears on episode six, but as Reagan, the 'new girl' in the loft. While Jess is off on jury duty, and Deschanel is off on momma duty for just four episodes, Reagan will be stirring up trouble in the loft. According to the procuder, Reagan is 'a gorgeous, straight-shooting pharmaceutical sales rep who comes to town on business and shakes things up in the loft.' But for those four episodes, there will be bitterness in the air, along with some high expectations. Just remember, we will, in fact, be getting our quirky Jessica Day back.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
