The movie theater-going experience is one to be cherished. An auditorium can be filled with laughter, joy, sadness, and love. Some people go to the movies to escape reality and enjoy some action from the likes of "Mad Max: Fury Road." Another group may go to the movies to find relatable stories. There's never a bad reason for going to the movies.

The movie theater can provide seats and delicious snacks. However, there are issues that occur way too often in the theater. If you've been in a theater, you'll recognize these pet peeves.

1. People showing up late!

"Making my way downtown, walking fast, faces pass, and I'm distracting as many people as I possibly can!" Are people aware that they're distracting others when they show up late? (Yes, I made up the last part.)

2. Annoying kids

It would be nice if all parents taught their kids how to act in the movie theater.

3. PDA

Have you ever had that one moment where you're watching a great scene, but you're having a hard time hearing the dialogue because there's a make out session happening? Same. For those who commit PDA, GET A ROOM!

4. Overreacting

If you've seen a horror movie, you'll know exactly why "overreacting" is on this list.

5. Talking

Shut up.

6. Cell phones

There is no good reason for anyone to use a cell phone throughout the runtime. Cell phone use is beyond distracting for all moviegoers. If you're one of those people who can't go two hours without checking your phone, leave the theater. One more thing, don't record the movie!

7. Dirty theaters

While it is the employee's job to make sure every auditorium is clean, it would be nice for patrons to clean up after themselves.

8. Munchers

Chew with your mouth closed!

9. Someone you don't know sits next to you

It's one thing when the theater is packed. It becomes creepy when a few people are there.

10. Not every theater has pre-select seating

Do you know how much easier life would be if every theater in the United States had pre-select seating? You wouldn't have to wait for hours in order to get a good seat for "Beauty and the Beast."

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
