Dear fans of Michael Moore, have I got good news for you! Mr. Moore surprised and excited many by unveiling "TrumpLand" in New York City. As soon as you saw the headline of this article, you may have wondered how strange or delightful of an amusement park "Trumpland" is. Though the title seems to imply that the entity is a park of amusement, it actually designates a film which strives to entertain, inform, and persuade.
For those familiar with Mr. Moore's political beliefs, you may expect "TrumpLand" to be a scathing analysis of Donald J. Trump. However, according to journalist Patrick Ryan, Mr. Moore's film is one not preoccupied with the takedown of Trump. As per film reviewer, Frank Scheck, Moore tries to empathise with Trump supporters, while he persuades all viewers to vote for Hillary Clinton.
"TrumpLand" screened on the night of Oct. 18, at the IFC Center in New York City and it will continue playing there through Oct. 27. The only other place which it's playing theatrically is the Laemmle Town Center 5 in Los Angeles. However, to those who are interested in this film but cannot make it to either of these venues, do not fear. According to Mr. Ryan, "TrumpLand" will also be released on iTunes.
