White plastic sings out
Violins and drums, my heart joins.
Theme to poignant days.
The orchestra sounds
My hands stir in unison
bumblebees to beat.
From copper to black
Gold threads to mahogany thin
The glimmer captures.
Blond plated skull stares
the violin screeches behind
tension in heart's history
Eyebrows are in-down
nice words with snake venom shots.
Ex-smiles, heat past left.
Three-piece suits sparkling,
bony hands, starving bowls ring-
I deserve these things.
the sky withdraws, tears
The grass holds the drops, friendship
It's the lushest green.
hugs him lovingly.
Finger strokes the color paper.
bed is half empty.

Of poetic templates, the haiku is one of my favorites, and is one I have toyed with a bit. Haikus (which also vary in both Japanese and English -- a Japanese syllable is different from English ones) were for one to capture the fundamental essence of something in nature, to express a joyful expression that one experienced out in the brooding universe. I loved these small reflections that took form in the haiku, and I wished to capture those small defining essences in all sorts of subjects, not just nature. Whether it be that moment of considerable discomfort when experiencing the scathing fire of a burned lover, or the lingering despair of a love lost to another, or perhaps the lovely sheen of gorgeous hair, I wanted to encapsulate it in a quick word or two. I hope you enjoy my perspective as I did when relating them to a communicable form.
Oh, and of the above, a few were related in their conception, while others were fictional in birth and form, but all are significant in their own specific emotional niche. Consider each one as stand alone.
