I thought Quesorittos were the best thing to happen since Pop Rocks, man was I wrong.
Sushi Kicchin and Formosa stole my heart freshmen year when a friend convinced me to pop my sushi cherry. Now I just can't seem to walk through the Ped Mall without grabbing a dragon roll (and then convince myself to get the firecracker too because if I'm getting one, I might as well get two).
Well, standard sushi rolls everywhere have just been outdone. The sushiritto. A roll just the way Americans like it - super sized. Travel to San Francisco's Union Square and you can find these bad boys being made fresh.
Peter Yen of San Francisco has reinvented sushi. In 2010 (why did it take me four years to learn about this), Sushirrito was born.
Writers at Welzoo's Business Insider decided to visit the joint. They reported that at noon on the dot, the line was out the door. And not only can you eat this thing with your hands, but Sushirittos only cost anywhere from $9 to $13.
Looks like it might be a little difficult to eat, but who cares? That thing is loaded with flavor, I can smell it from here.
Enough of this talk. I'm gonna go dig into the leftover sushi in my fridge.
