If you've seen 'Captain America: Civil War', you would agree that the new portrayal of Spider-Man was highly praised. If you liked Tom Holland's Spider-Man, you won't have to wait much longer until 'Spider Man: Homecoming' releases, which will be on July 7th, 2017. In the meantime, we have a brand new trailer to talk about. It was nice until its drastic tone change...

First off, a good majority of the Peter Parker scenes reminded me of a John Hughes movie, which is what intrigued me the most. We finally have a Peter Parker who actually looks like a high schooler. My only concern with the high school scenes is if Marvel butchers it with the forced humor. Marvel's recent 'Doctor Strange' had the most cringe worthy humor I have witnessed from the studio. I hope the six screenwriters don't create a disaster. Speaking of that, I find it interesting that it takes six screenwriters to write a Spider-Man movie...

And then a drastic change occurs. What do we know? It's the Vulture (Michael Keaton). The drastic change in tone from the trailer was odd. I couldn't help but think of 'The Amazing Spider-Man 2' when it ocurred. Hopefully that type of change only occurs in this trailer. I don't care if the film is light hearted or serious. The tone should be consistent. I haven't seen the movie, but it seems like the villain curse from Marvel will occur once again. Michael Keaton gives a chilling performance, but the dialogue felt like the screenwriter from the 'Vacation' reboot wrote it. Oh wait... Jonathan M. Goldstein is one of the six screenwriters.

As for Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) being in the movie, it's expected. However, I don't mind him being involved as long as he actually has a useful part in the film. It would be a shame if he was just cameo that serves no purpose.

Am I more excited for 'Spider-Man: Homecoming' after the trailer? Not really. It's actually what I expected. I'm not going to have any expectations when I see the film. I have gotten to the point where the Marvel formula isn't so appealing to me anymore. What do you guys think of the first trailer?

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
