Going through my albums on Facebook, I stumbled upon an album from a seemingly ordinary day in high school, when children from the The Spastics Society of India visited us for a few hours. Prior to the visit, I didn't think much of it — living in India, I thought I'd been exposed to my fair share of NGOs, children from varied backgrounds, and differently-abled people. Luckily, I had my camera with me that day. Till this day, the stills I captured aren't just frozen in the frame of my camera, but are woven intricately into my memory.
This is a short photo series documenting human emotion, the wide spectrum in which it exists, and a reminder that a disability does not stop you from being any less complex, any less emotional, and any less of a human being.
