Sisters before Misters

A Sister's Mind

1. We push each others buttons

It wouldn't be any fun to have a sister if you cant push her buttons and piss her off.

2. You fight over clothes

Getting worked up when she sneaks your clothes but you find it more than okay to wear her stuff, as long as she doesn't find out.

3. You get into things you aren't supposed to, but wont go down alone.

You creep into the freezer to sneak the ice cream your parents wouldn't let you have after dinner. we rock paper scissors to see which one of us sneaks upstairs in the middle of the night to get more treats, but if one of us gets caught we both go down. There is no taking one for the team. if I'm in trouble you're in trouble too.

4. You tell on each other over little things.

Regardless if its calling you a name, or making a face at you. when you are pissed at your sister there is no better revenge and rewarding feeling then to get her scolded at by your parents.

5. Despite fighting each other, you will fight for each other.

no one tortures, makes fun of or calls your sister names but you. That's your job and if you are dumb enough to decide to try you will have a world of hell coming your way that you wished you never let open. we are the dynamic duo. We bring the heat, so this is a warning. don't try this.

6. We decide to try stupid things together.

whether it be sneaking animals in through the window, or getting wasted throwing each other into laundry baskets. Either way, makes for a great story.

7. We are inseparable.

Who else would crawl over a dresser blocking the bedroom door just to sleep next to me? No matter how far apart or what obsticles are in the way we will never let each other actually be alone.

8. We decide if you are good enough for her.

if you even think for a second i don't know everything about you, you must be delusional. If you treat my sister like trash expect to get taken out. If you treat her like a queen, expect to get her nothing less than a crown.

9. We will always be there for each other, we will never let the other sister feel alone.

I'm here to wipe your tears, and I'm here to cheers your beers. Either way i wont ever leave you because you are my first and best best friend.

10. We love you.

Even if we don't say it enough, you're amazing even though sometimes we would love to get rid of you, we couldn’t imagine life without you. we wouldn't trade you for anything.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
