Comedy Shows

Welcome to the city that never sleeps! Yes, here I am talking about the most exciting city- New York. The city never stops to amaze and has endless opportunities for artists to show their extraordinary talent. I will be talking about a few things that you can experience at comedy shows in New York. Comedy clubs are much adored by people of all ages. Moreover, it's pretty good to spend a few hours laughing. Not wasting much time, here I proceed!

➤Some Free Open Mics at Night

There are more than 160 open mics in New York City. Guess what? Few mics are not even advertised, so imagine the number of open mics could be more. The audience goes crazy with mics. Comics are pride for most comedy attendees in NYC. If you haven't tried open mics at night, then what are you waiting for? Even a few clubs offer the tickets for free on special occasions; otherwise, you might need to pay from $3-$5.

➤ Can be a Part of Professional Entertainment

You're fortunate if you're staying in NYC. Various live comedy shows are run back to back in the city. Even some are recorded and aired on Social media and TV. If you have an interest in being a part of the entertainment industry. You can find plentiful opportunities! In other words, by exploring comedy clubs, you can get a chance to meet a team of professionals and work together.

➤Explore Weird Things that will Make you Nuts

The other thing you will find quite rare in any part of the world is the artists' craziness ( which newbies will find weird ). Comedians like Matt Wayne, Doug Smith, etc., dress up in devil outfits and give performances by accepting challenges like wearing a bear suit, downing whiskey shots, etc. In this city, you will discover many crazy things that will make you laugh.

➤Chance to Meet Famous Personalities

Whether on a weekday or weekend, thenightlife in New Yorkis phenomenal; you will find comedy clubs open at night where you can get a chance to meet famous personalities. The Broadway Comedy Club is a great night out for locals & tourists. In this club, you have a high chance to meet renowned personalities. Even the club holds an engaging show - Comedy Sports. Two teams fight each other in a match of games and make you laugh out loud.

➤ Lots of Foods & Drinks

Of course, outings without eatables & drinks are incomplete. NYC comedy clubs have extraordinary arrangements of wine, brew, soft drinks, and luscious snacks & cuisines. You can order the food items before watching the show or can find multiple restaurants surrounded by the clubs to have meals after the show.

Wrapping Up!

New York can be a great vacation destination. Apart from comedy shows, you can experience many other entertaining, cultural, & adventurous places. These are some things that you can add to your to-do list while attending comedy clubs. I hope you have great fun.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
