Luray, Virginia is home to one of the most terrifying locations in haunted house history. Built in 1880, Darkwood Manor has seen the deaths of both Abigail Darkwood in 1940 as well as Dr. Simon Ghoulsby in 1954. Although it sat empty for 48 years, the house has now been reopened for guests to explore. Even though the tours and shows currently offered in the house use actors to scare you, you just might get to see or hear a little more than you bargained for while on the property. Tickets start at only $10 and there are different events every weekend.
