I would just like to take a moment to let you know how much you kick butt. You’ve done so much for me this past year. I wouldn’t have wanted to take on college with anyone else but you. Here are just a few of the many things I have to thank you for:
Thank you for watching endless puppy videos on Instagram with me until we cry, or looking up pictures of baby pigs in rain boots until our professor tells us to get off the Internet.
Thank you for being seen in public with me when I look like I’m fresh off the streets, because sometimes that extra ten minutes of sleep is more of a priority than fixing our face.
Thank you for laughing at all of my ridiculous jokes and sarcastic comments, even when we both know they’re not funny.
Thank you for supporting me in my diet of cookie dough for breakfast and sharing my lifelong love of food with me.
Thank you for not hating me when I get back in stupid relationships again, and again, and again. And continue to complain to you about the same problems every time.
Thank you for having fashion shows with me when I need something cute, but never have anything in my closet (when we both know it’ll end with me wearing your clothes anyway).
Thank you for welcoming me into your family. I love having dinner with your mom, or being in your family group texts and reading your dad’s cheesy poetry.
Thank you for participating in random Taylor Swift dance parties at random times in the day and putting up with me when I’m literally trying to climb the walls at one in the morning.
Thank you for understanding when I don’t want to talk and also understanding that sometimes we all need a good nap.
Thank you for being my weirdo, because normal people are boring. I have so much to thank you for, but most of all, thank you for being there through all my problems. Thank you for being steady when I could hardly stand. And in return, I know I can’t fix all your problems, but I can promise you that you won’t have to face them alone. I don’t know what I would do without you.
