(If you already haven't, check out my last article, it'll help this one make more sense)
[SIDE B]
But so what if it's always coming? Who really cares?
Look death in the face and say, "I see you, but you're not coming for me yet." Tell it who runs this show.
Alright, so what is my quarrel with death? There's a lot of things that I find wrong with it. People fear it, we treat it like a deadline that we should complete as much as possible before it. To me, it makes no sense. Why would we go through our lives with this thought in the back of our head that we can never escape?
We have only so much time in this world, and we should do as much as possible in it, but not limit ourselves to just that. Your impacts last past your lifetime. I think of it this way: your life is a seed. That seed gets planted and you grow into a great tree. And then you die. But that tree doesn't just all of a sudden go away. It's there for a long time after. There are animals that find food and shelter in your tree. People will sit under it for shade. Even when it grows old and dies, the trees around it will keep the roots and stump alive, they feed it and give it water so it can endure.
So so what if death is on our heels?
All you need to do is remember that your life is precious, it means so much to so many people around you. So you should fill it with as many beautiful and wonderful things.
Whatever it may be, your mark will be on this world forever.
Just something to remember.
