My Precious Child,

You are so loved. I know the struggles you are going through - the burdens on your shoulders, your worries, and the reasons you cry yourself to sleep at night. I hold those tears and those concerns in My hands. They are Mine, and were never meant to be yours to hold onto. It's time to surrender your fears, your insecurities, your pain, and even your loved ones completely to Me. I want your whole heart and mind and soul to be completely worry-free. I know that is hard, but trust makes you so much stronger. I want your complete trust so you can focus on your faith and be free of the spirit of fear controlling you and every aspect of your life. Don't let your circumstances hold your heart hostage or cause you to lose your confidence in Me. In whom do you trust?

I want to be the King of your heart. I know that guy you love means a lot to you, and I want you to practice that sacrificial love. However, let Me hold your heart, for when it breaks, it's all Mine to heal. Let Me heal you, like I can heal everything else your heart aches for. I am the only one Who knows the man you are going to marry, and the one who is going to treat your heart like the fragile piece of treasure that it is. Take this from the one Who created you: wait for him. Don't settle for anything less than a man who loves you like I do. It's gonna be hard, but remember that I am and always will be the King of your heart.

I know many days you feel like a weary warrior, too tired to fight. I see you when you have exhausted your faith and lost your passion for My people - you are drained. I want to paint an eternal picture for you. Every act of kindness and selfless love you share will water someone's thirsty soul. You are more than a light in the darkness. Your faith will continue to be a raging fire that will burn in the hearts of many generations to come who follow your works on earth. Give yourself time to rest, love, and be loved, so you can continue to be the world-changer that I created you to be. I am so proud of you.

Don't get discouraged, dear child; pain is a part of life. I promise you that I will turn every tear you have ever cried into joy, and I will use your deep pain for a divine purpose. Don't try to hide your hurts from Me, and don't even think about feeling guilty. You are Mine, My beloved; therefore, I created your heart and I am the only one Who can restore it back to wholeness again. Remember that I, too, have felt great pain, rejection, and anger, but we are in this together, and you have Me to hold onto. The sun will shine onto you again, just like you have been shining onto others.

You are strong. You are worthy. You are valuable. You are divine.

You are mine.

With so much love,

Your God, King, and Redeemer

"Depend on the Lord; trust Him, and He will take care of you. Your goodness will shine like the sun, and your fairness like the noonday sun."

- Psalm 37:5-6

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
