Eleven Reasons Why I Will Always Love Taylor Swift
Taylor Swift

I can't imagine what life would've been like if I didn’t grow up listening to Taylor Swift. She's truly inspiring and I still turn to her songs for advice about life, love and broken hearts. She may not know it yet, but we're actually best friends. We're both obsessed with cats, red lipstick, and believe in true love. Need I say more?

Unfortunately not everyone sees her for the beautiful person she is. Since the beginning of her career she's faced nasty rumors and has gotten a lot of hate. But the same people that give her hate don't seem to notice her acts of kindness. She truly cares about people and she loves making them smile. She's helped many people get through seemingly impossible obstacles.Taylor is my biggest role model, and these are some of the reasons why I will always love her.

1. She was there for me when no one else was.

I don't know how I could've gotten through high school and college without her. She was there for me through everything and her music inspired me to believe in myself.

2. She's not afraid to be herself and is down to earth.

She's adorably dorky and doesn't care about what others think. Never stop dancing Tay.

3. Her style is flawless.

She is a style icon and slays everywhere she goes.

4. She inspires me to stay strong and to never give up.

When I was close to giving up, I always turned to Taylor for inspiration. She's helped me through some of the hardest years of my life and I will always be thankful.

5. She loves her fans and looks out for them.

Taylor truly loves her fans. She checks up on them on social media and leaves messages of inspiration if they are down. She sent some of her biggest fans handwritten cards and presents for Christmas and even crashed a wedding.

6. She teaches us to ignore the haters.

Taylor is brave even though she has an immense amount of haters and she shows us that even though people will judge you in life, it's important to be the bigger person and shake off the haters.

7. She visits sick fans and is philanthropic.

Taylor surprises sick fans in hospitals and spends hours singing songs and playing with them. She donates to various charities and even donated money to a fan who was battling cancer.

8. She's talented and her lyrics are powerful.

Taylor plays the guitar, piano, banjo and ukulele. Every single she releases is catchy and her lyrics are inspiring and relatable. The way she connects with her fans through her music is magical.

9. She is successful but humble.

Her albums are masterpieces and each one of them has been extremely successful. She's won a countless number of awards for her music. Even though she's on the top, she continues to be kind and generous to everyone she meets and that's another good reason to love her.

10. She's obsessed with cats, crafts and baking.

She takes care of her cats Meredith and Olivia, paints, and bakes cookies during her free time. Taylor is basically a grandmother in disguise.

11. She's a good role model and empowers women.

She's an amazing role model for young girls and women because she is classy, kind hearted and humble. She shows women that they can be independent and successful. Most importantly she shows us that we can be ourselves and don't need anyone's approval.

There is more to Taylor Swift than what the media portrays. She's genuine, funny and a beautiful person inside and out. I will always love her and her music and I'm proud to be a Swiftie. Thank you for being here for me Taylor.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
