If you're a "Supernatural" fan, the first thing you probably think of (especially if you're into attractive males) is the Winchester brothers. Well, which Winchester brother do you think of first? Most of you will say, Dean. Trust me, I completely understand why you choose Dean over Sam, but I don't. I choose Sam. Yes, I am one of the rare "Sam girls" in this "Dean girl" world.

My best friend is a total Dean Girl. Almost weekly, she asks me why I'm a Sam Girl. Though I never give her a direct answer, there are some great reasons why Sam is a better choice to drool over than Dean.

Dean is a player. A "fuck boi," if I may. Yes, he is that typical sexy "bad boy" with a sweet side, but he still likes women for the sex (except for Lisa of course). Sam is the type of guy you bring home to the family. He's in tune with his emotions and sex and women are generally not the first things we see him aim for. Sam is sweet, probably the type of guy most girls might friend-zone. But he doesn't get friend-zoned ever. Perhaps it's because he is so tall. *insert heart smiley here*

Sam has the brains. Before you get all upset, I am not saying Dean is dumb. But seriously, think about who generally knows how to actually defeat the monsters. Sam does because he knows about ancient culture and their myths. He knows how to actually pick up a book and read, and can still be oh-so-attractive while doing so.

While one look from Dean can get a girl hot, one look from Sam make a girl fall head-over-heels in love. Dean has a fierce look when he's hunting for women (or just hunting in general). Sam has those adorable puppy-dog eyes that no woman could ever resist. Women probably fall in love with Sam before he can even say "hello."

Sam is hilarious. As you watch "Supernatural" on Netflix (again), pay attention to the one-liners Sam says. Sam's humor is more natural. While Dean is funny, yes, he tries to make people laugh. Sometimes the natural humor is better than the forced humor.

One thing that people tend to forget about Sam, and this may be the most important, is that he has had to make plenty of sacrifices, too. Everyone always commends Dean for dealing with going to Hell and Purgatory and being old enough to remember his mother's death.

News flash: Sam also went to Hell, and lost his soul when he came back. Sam had to witness his girlfriend die right in front of him. Sam also had to deal with the fact that he has demon blood coursing through his veins and don't forget that Sam was destined to be Lucifer's vessel. How would you handle that destiny? We all know how well Dean would handle it. (Insert eye roll here.)

Well, there you have it. Those were some of the reasons why I am a Sam Girl. Besides, Dean is way too overrated. I will always be Team Moose. You can keep Squirrel.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
