As the semester comes to a close, there is no denying that each and every one of us are counting down the hours to when we will finally be free. Between end of semester projects, presentations and final exams, our brains are on the verge of shutting down. We yearn for a month long break and imagine all of the super awesome stuff we are going to do. But what do we really do over break? Do we go hang out with all of our old friends from high school that we "miss so much?" Do we take super rad day trips up to the mountain to hit the slopes? Do we take that vacation abroad we have been talking about planning for months now? Let's be real, by the time we realize that our break plans will never happen, and that our break has been somewhat, well, mediocre... it is usually too late to do any of these "super awesome" things we had in mind. In fact, at this very time you are probably sitting in bed or on your couch debating whether or not to watch the 10th episode in a row of whatever you are binge watching on Netflix or to, God forbid, stop what you are doing for 5 minutes to go get another sleeve of Oreo's.
SO, with all of this said, why don't we stop kidding ourselves and talk about what break has really been like. A long, lazy, fattening, month of just about nothing that we had planned it to be.
