Although pumpkin spice latte’s are great and make for an artsy snapchat story, there are so many other ways to experience fall. I could probably list hundreds of different activities to participate in during the fall but here are just a few of my favorites:
1. Apple picking
Especially in upstate New York, there are so many different opportunities for apple picking and it’s such a fun thing to do for fall. It allows for so many cute pictures with your friends and then you have weeks of different variations of apples. From apple pie to fritters to candy apples, fall couldn’t get any better.
2. Pumpkin flavored everything
Not only can you go pumpkin picking for cute decorations but you can literally find pumpkin flavored everything. I know the title is “besides drink a PSL”, but you can also get a pumpkin muffin, cookies, pie, and the list goes on. Seriously who doesn’t love pumpkin?!
3. Sweater weather
Once the weather gets just cold enough to wear sweaters, I immediately run to my closet and bring out all of my cardigans and I’m ready to go. Being able to wear sweaters is by far one of the best things of fall.
4. Halloween
Being able to figure out what you're going to dress up as for Halloween is so much fun, especially coordinating with your friends and looking cute altogether!
5. Haunted houses
Even though they leave you screaming, going to haunted houses and hayrides during the fall is always a must. It’s all apart of Halloween and goes hand in hand with the creepily carved pumpkins, so how could you go wrong?
6. The Colors
Absolutely nothing beats the warm colors of fall, the trees are actually unreal and so beautiful that it’s breathtaking. Even the sunsets seem a little brighter when they reflect on the trees and all the leaves that have already fallen on the ground.
7. Thanksgiving
Being surrounded by your family and friends during thanksgiving break is yet another great part about the fall. Watching football and having debates over politics is definitely something my family looks forward to each year!
8. It’s technically almost Christmas…
Christmas is in the air as soon as fall sets in and the countdown begins! The start of fall really begins the feel for the holidays and gets everyone so excited to be surrounded by everyone they love.
