Prayers For My Future Husband
Christian Devotions

Prayer is a beautiful and powerful thing, and I am a huge fan of praying as much as possible. One of the most beautiful things you can pray about, in my opinion, is praying for your future spouse. It’s one thing that you can do for them regardless of if you know who they are or not, regardless of if your paths have crossed, and regardless of if you’re ready for a serious relationship. So on that note, here are a few things I pray for my future husband and the relationship we will share one day.

I pray that my future husband finds himself surrounded by people who love and support him in every moment of his life. Until I am in his life and able to love and support him through everything, I hope that he is able to find this through other people. Whatever he decides to pursue and whatever he is going through in his life, I pray that he finds love and support around him so that he never feels lost or disheartened.

I pray that my future husband opens himself to accepting God’s callings for him. It’s not always easy to let go and let God, especially when you become set on things in your life going a certain way. For this reason, I pray that he can find acceptance of the life he is meant to live which will eventually lead him to me. Everything will follow God’s plan eventually, but I hope that my future husband keeps himself open to any possibility and finds beauty in whatever he is called to.

I pray that my future husband realizes how much he is loved by God. I have learned that realizing God’s immense love for you results in absolute contentment with yourself. When you realize how much God loves you, you don’t feel the need to go looking for love in other places. This is why I pray that he realizes how much he is loved. I pray that he never needs to resort to other options to feel full or happy and that he is able to find satisfaction through God’s love alone.

I pray for readiness of our hearts when our paths do eventually cross. When I meet the man I end up marrying, I pray that both of our hearts are in a place where we are ready and able to love each other wholeheartedly. Nothing stings worse than meeting an amazing person but having them be dating someone who may not be good for them, or learning they are caught up on a past relationship and unable to move on. This happens all too often, which is why I constantly pray that our hearts will be ready for each other when the time is right.

Finally, I pray that he has God’s protection in all that he does. We all make mistakes and go through rough patches and situations in our lives, and we all have times when we feel like we’re walking through life alone. I pray that God is constantly protecting my future husband and guarding him as much as possible. I pray that he is able to find strength in God in difficult situations and that he realizes he is never walking through life alone. I pray that God watches over him always and allows him to realize that he is regularly being prayed for by someone who can’t wait to love him one day.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
