Meet Lily. The nicest, most gentle pittbull you will ever meet. She also happens to be my best friend.
My mom rescued Lily my senior year of high school. She saved her from an abusive owner that didn't realize how sweet she was and how much an amazing, loving dog she could be. I cringe when I think about what might have happened to her had my mom not been such a caring person and saved her. This 80 pound, gray beautiful dog is the love of my life and my moms.
She loves to play with sticks. I don't mean little, skinny sticks, but logs and branches off of trees. Once she gets a stick she's content for hours. She's a little selfish when it comes to giving the stick to us, but all dogs are like that. And she loves to lick your face...it's really gross but it's one of my favorite things because it's her way of showing affection. We also like to share food.
If I didn't have Lily, I don't know what I would do. I know that Lily saved me, but I'm most thankful for the relationship that my mom and Lily have. Because of Lily, my mom has another kid since I'm not always around. She always has someone to lick her face and driver her crazy. And heck, Lily is the cutest dog I've ever seen.
She also loves to party.
