Cats. Definitively the cutest animal ever to grace the earth. The internet has been obsessed with cats from its creation, and I for one have been totally fine with that. Finals are upon us, and as research has shown, fuzzy animals reduce stress. Since we can't have animals in the dorms (boo) here are some lovely photos of cats and kittens to make you feel better about life.
To start us off, let's look at these kittens. They are very fluffy and I, for one, want to pet them. They are sleepy. So am I. I relate to these kittens on a spiritual level.
This kitten and bunny are friends. Truly amazing. An inspiration to us all.
This cat is driving a car. That is pure talent right there, especially considering that his legs probably aren't long enough to reach the gas pedal. I'm sure his parents are very proud.
This definitely exceeds the legal limit of adorable kittens allowed to one person. However, they obviously love each other very much and so I will allow them to remain together, on the grounds that they are given to me.
You may recognize this cat as Grumpy Cat, but her name is actually Tardar Sauce and she is very tiny and very friendly. Just goes to show you shouldn't judge by appearances.
I hope that I am invited to the wedding of these cats.
This cat is using a dog as a pillow. Ingenious. Also, look at how tiny she is in comparison to the dog. What a patient dog. What a clever cat. Beautiful.
Don't you ever talk to me or my son ever again.
This is a tuxedo cat. My roommate requested I include a tuxedo cat. Here you go, Elisabeth. Look at how regal he is.
This cat and owl are friends. THIS CAT AND OWL ARE FRIENDS. INCREDIBLE. 10/10.
This cat has become part of a meme, entitled "If it fits, I sits". I just want to know why the cat decided to sit in a glass bowl, and also why she looks to comfortable. This further confirms the theory that cats are in fact liquid.
This cat is prettier than I am.
This is Tama. She was a station master cat in Kinokawa, Wakayama, Japan. She was named stationmaster in 2007, and her job as such was to greet passengers. She was given an official uniform of a collar and a stationmaster's hat. Instead of a salary, the station provided her with cat food. She was promoted to Operating Officer in 2010 and had two assistant stationmasters; her sister Chibi, and her mother Miiko. She was appointed an apprentice, named Niitama (which literally means "second Tama") in 2012. Tama unfortunately died last year at the age of 16, succeeded by Niitama. She was given an elaborate Shinto funeral attended by thousands and was given the posthumous title "Honorary Eternal Stationmaster". She was enshrined as the goddess Tama Daimyojin at a local temple.
To end this article, here's a picture of my cats, Celeste (left) and Terra.
Happy finals week, everyone.
