My friends and I all concur that yearlong, we want so many random things but don't get them because they're either too expensive or we just feel guilty splurging on them on our college budget. So we decided to write these things down as we think of them so that when the holidays come, we could could create our own master lists of gifts.
Here's some things that are perfect holiday gifts for the college girl in your life.
1. Big Comfy Sweaters
Cozy AND cute - a rare fashion trend, albeit an expensive one.
2. Candles
We burn through them like crazy in our apartments.
3. Warm Blankets
Being able to cuddle up in a cozy blanket almost makes studying bearable.
4. Throw Pillows
Similarly, we like to create cozy nooks to read and study. This requires lots of cozy pillows!
5. Books
It can be new books, old books, the one you just finished, Barnes & Noble gift cards, anything! We usually are looking for another good read.
6. Stationary and Study Supplies
Our notes don't make themselves! Making them pretty makes studying almost bearable.
7. A Speaker
A Bose speaker, Beats, Sony, any speaker! We always want one in our apartment.
8. A Kendra Scott Necklace
Find out her favorite stone and you can't go wrong with this one! They're beautiful and not too expensive.
9. Socks
Boot socks, crew socks, ankle socks, fuzzy socks, normal socks - all the socks.
10. Apartment Decorations
Tapestries, string lights, lamps, posters, photos or photo frames, anything! We always want to decorate our spaces. If you head to TJ Maxx or Marshalls, there's super cute stuff that's not expensive.
11. Crystals
Crystal bookends, salt lamps, crystal necklaces, or just plain crystals - they're cute, useful, and create good vibes.
12. An Area Carpet
They're cute but also protect the ground from our spills. Cute patterns or solid colors!
13. A Backpack
I live in my backpack at school, and they wear out fast lugging books around.
14. Scarves
All colors, sizes, and textures. They're fashionable and warm, too. We can't have enough.
15. A Camera
A Polaroid or a DSLR. We're a generation that loves taking photos.
16. A Cookbook
When we live alone, we have to feed ourselves! We're always looking for a new recipe so we stop making the same thing over and over.
17. A Grocery Store Gift Card
...To go along with that cookbook!
18. Any Gift Cards!
A last resort is always gift cards. You can't really go wrong. Food, clothes, gas, groceries, literally anywhere. It's a more lasting gift!
