Open Letter From God To The Broken Hearted

A letter for all the sons and daughters of the Most High, who are broken hearted, lost and rejected. He used my hands to write this, but this is His message to you.

My Beloved Child,

Hello. May we talk for a bit? I see you've been rejected, forgotten, and broken-hearted. I see you as you lie in your bed, curled up with you knees to your chest and your tears dripping down your face. Have you've forgotten my love for you? The love that never fails, that never gives up. Even when you feel like you've lost my love, it never runs out. My love cannot be compared to a man's way of love for it is forever and unconditional. My love lasts without hesitation, it is not only for when you're at your best but when you need it most. My love is as constant as the waves in the sea. When you are lost in your mind, wandering in the darkness, my light will still be shining and my love for you will be alive.

People don't appreciate you or understand who you are, but I do. I created you, like a potter molds his works of clay. I made every inch of your being in the likeness of myself so that you may come to know who I am. I understand you more than you can understand yourself because I formed you from my own mind and made you who you are. I formed all your inward parts, and knitted you together in your mother's womb (Psalm 139:13).

You are broken hearted, yet in the midst of all your pain and heartache, I am there. In my word it says, I am near those who are broken hearted and I save those crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). If only, my dear children, you would hear me when I say this and believe it. Just like I loved the broken woman at the well (John 4), I love you too. I spoke to her with kindness and compassion because I knew her and I loved her. It was not out of luck that I happened to be at the well when she came for some water. She was married to five different men and was living with another man whom she wasn't married to. She was thirsting for something and searching for it in these men, I knew the thirst she had, I knew of her desires because I loved her. I met her by the well for a divine opportunity to lead her to me, the living water.

Many of you are like this woman, you are wandering and searching, you are unfulfilled and looking for love in the wrong places. These things will lead you to more heart break. You are suffering from broken hearts, pain overwhelms you because of your thirst. Just like the woman from the well, I want to meet with you, tell you of my love and offer you my living water. I long for your hearts to be whole.

My children, I see your hearts, I see the real YOU. Do not believe the lies of the enemy, Satan. Many have been trapped in slavery by chains because they believed him over me. He whispers lies in your ears, that you are unloveable, worthless and unable to be saved. My sons and daughters, he is the creator of lies, truth does not flow through him. My love has been made perfect, it draws near the broken hearted; it does not cast aside.

I have seen all of you, I know you by your true name and I understand who you are. I love all of you, you have not been rejected by me. Rejection has been the cause of your broken hearts but I tell you, by me you are accepted. I do not reject those who call my name with sincere hearts. When you lie awake, crying in the dark of night; I have wept beside you. When you faced rejection from friends, family, mothers, fathers and lovers; I have never rejected you. I weep for your brokenness, I weep for your thirst, I weep for your loneliness and I weep for your life like I wept for Lazarus'.

Children, do not seek for love in relationships, receive love from me for my love is perfect and never-failing. Seek me so you may find rest in me. Drink from my living water so that you may never thirst for anything. I died for you, to give you my everlasting love. I was shamed and tortured by man in order for you to be accepted through me. I understand your hurt. Those people rejected me, they beat me, they abandoned me - even my own followers. I was murdered by the people I loved. I understand you and I grieve with you. You don't need to feel that pain any longer because I took that from you on the cross. I was rejected so that you can be accepted by my Father.

Let me be your redeemer, my children. Do not grow bitter to the people who have done wrong towards you but; forgive them. I know of the pain you have suffered for I was there through it all. Through the abuse, the abandonment, the rape, the rejection, the trauma, the breakup, the pain, the divorce - all of it. When you were children and people took advantage of you, when your parents rejected you and left you without protection, my child, I cried there with you. I want to heal you. Let me in and I will work it out for your good, if you trust me. I will make a beautiful vessel out of you and all will be amazed at what I have done in you. Do you not believe it to be possible because all things are possible for God that are impossible for man (Luke 18:27).

Find rest in my love, rest in my acceptance, believe only the words I have said and reject the lies from the enemy that make you feel less. Give your broken lives to me and I will be renew you. I will fix your broken walls and make you strong and victorious. I want to make you fathers and mothers of all nations. Believe in me and my word, reject things of the world and the lies of the deceiver. The waters of men do not satisfy you for they only increase your thirst but; if you drink of my living water, you shall never thirst again!

I have loved you with everlasting abundance.

Sincerely,

Jesus Christ

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
