People always ask, "What are some good shows on Netflix?" My response: "The Office." In almost all my conversations I have, there is always at least one Office reference. False, there are a billion. Here are a ton of perfect explanations why:
1. Pam and Jim's romance.
Jim falls in love with Pam while she is engaged to Roy. By the end though, in the first image, Jim is married to Pam and rather sarcastic about the whole thing. It was a crazy ride for the both of them where the timing was always off yet eventually they both get to Niagara Falls where they get married on the cruise through the falls. Finally returning to the church where both families along with the entire office is waiting to dance down the isle.
2. The pranks on Dwight.
What is a better way to make the most of work hours than annoy your desk mate? Jim never ever ever does work yet always finds time to annoy Dwight. Even towards the last few seasons when Jim is off elsewhere working he manages to annoy Dwight with old pranks he might of set up or using Pam to be an instigator.
3. Dwight's character.
Oh Dwight. Dwight's dream throughout the entire series is to be manager of this paper company. He stops at nothing to show dedication not only in work however in all of his life. He lives on a farm growing beets...do I need to explain more? Dwight is a little odd...well a lot of odd...always up to something.
4. The greatest boss ever who I wish could be my boss for a day or two or for my entire work career...Michael Scott.
Whether it's making movies or jokes, Michael will do anything to not be working yet still sees himself as an amazing boss. His thinking is be friends with everyone in the office and always be the cool guy that way everyone will like him. His goals have nothing to do with making the office run more efficiently...he simply wants to be the jokester and the guy everyone likes.
5. The Jim Look
No matter what situation, Jim constantly gives some form of a glance towards the camera. Andy punches a wall, Jim gives the look. Pam does something and Jim will look at the camera. No matter what he always gives his input this way.
6. Just about every single person in "The Office" too:
Kevin
To sum up Kevin: He got fired at the end because he had been using imaginary numbers to fix whatever odd balances had occurred on the accounting sheets. Kevin the lover of food and odd man in the group of three accountants.
Phyllis
I would call her the office mom.
Kelly and Ryan
I figured putting them together was more appropriate. No matter who else they dated, they ended up together. And no none of what they had relationship wise was healthy
Creed
I am almost positive Creed was an escaped convict hiding out here. At the end of the office he said, "not so bad for a dog food company." I am not even sure what his job was nor do I think he did yet he knew everything there was to know about illegal contraband.
Oscar
The office genius. Michael went to him for all the financial issues. Oscar was gay and that for a majority of episodes followed him around.
Where one might say Oscar wasn't as high up in character position as Jim, Angel was a more main character than lets say Creed. She was always on and off with Dwight in a secret relationship. She loved cats and was very strict. Never wore anything revealing and was always budding heads with other office characters because she was conservative and had different views on everything.
The office alcoholic and never seemed to be appropriate. Angela was very opposite than Meredith and ironically enough they sat right near each other. If I had to bet Meredith was a dog lover.
Stanley
The office dad? No Stanley was too grumpy. He never wanted to participate and always did crossword puzzles. However, if it was pretzel day or he was going to Florida, his worth ethic went up 100 %.
TobyWho didn't hate Toby? Michael hated him so much that he placed his desk by Kelly and Ryan. Toby was always the outside. He even secretly liked Pam. However, no one likes Toby. Not his five hour stories about the Scranton Strangler or his mystery novel.
Andy...wasn't going to add extras like Jan, Holly or the Saber company; nor the workhouse but Andy was one of my favorites...Andy wasn't the original crew however I wish he was. Andy added humor and drama.
What an amazing show.
