For those who enjoy baseball, the best time of the year has arrived. The Playoffs are in full swing. The Wild Card series' has come and gone with the Toronto Blue Jays beating the Baltimore Oriels in the American league and the San Francisco Giants beating the New York Mets in the national league. Both games were thrillers. The Giants won on a 9th inning three-run homerun and the Blue Jays won on a walk-off homerun in extra innings. This set up the division series matchups, with the Giants taking on the Cubs, the Blue Jays taking on the Rangers, the Nationals taking on the dodgers, and the Indians taking on the Red Sox. The American league opened up the division series play on Thursday. The Blue Jays stomped the Ranger winning by a surprising score of 10-1.Later that night, the Indians took on the Red Sox, squeezing out a tough 5-4 win. Friday brought us a day full of baseball which included game 2 of both American league division series' along with game 1 of both National league division series'. The Blue Jays and Rangers had the first game of the day and once again, the Blue Jays took the win by a score of 5-3. The second game of the day featured the Indians and the Red Sox, and once again the Indians came out victorious, winning the game 6-0. The third game of the da jumped over to the National league. The Nationals and the Dodgers played game one of their series which resulted in a hard fought 4-3 win for the dodgers.

The final game of the day was between the Cubs and the Giants. The game featured two premier pitchers and it showed in the score. The Cubs pulled out a tough 1-0 win thanks to a late inning homerun. The day closed with the Blue Jays and Indians both taking commanding 2 games to none leads while the Cubs and Dodgers taking 1 games to none leads. Saturday was an off day for the American league as teams traveled, leaving two games on the slate. Game 2 of the Nationals Dodgers series was unfortunately postponed due to the weather. This left the Cubs and giants as the only game to be played on Saturday. The Cubs, rather easily, took game 2 from the giants by a score of 5-2, jumping out to a commanding 2 games to none lead. The Cubs and Giants had Sunday off for travel, leaving three games to be played on Sunday. Game 2 of the Nationals Dodgers series took place.

The Nationals were able to even up the series with a big 5-2 win. Game 3 of the Indians Red Sox series was postponed due to bad weather. This left game 3 of the Blue Jays Rangers series. The Blue Jays came in looking to clinch a spot in the next round with a win and did exactly that in exciting fashion. The Blue Jays defeated the Rangers 7-6 in walk-off fashion to win the series 3 game to none. Monday will play host to 3 games with huge implications. Game 3 of a tied Dodgers Nationals series will take place with one of the teams looking to gain an edge in the series. The Indians and Red Sox will play a game 3 in which the Indians are playing a series sweep while the Red Sox are playing to keep their season alive. These circumstances are also the same for the Cubs and Giants series as the series moves to San Francisco. The playoffs have managed to bring us an already exciting October and look to be bringing much more as the playoffs advance deeper into October.

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
