My Review Of Pokémon Go

It's definitely worth the hype.

My Review Of Pokémon Go

I gotta admit that when I heard about "Pokémon Go" I felt like it was a dream come true. I've been a Pokémon fan since I was four years old, so the fact that I'd get to play again was nostalgic. I remember when I had an android I downloaded a GameBoy emulator and was disappointed to find out that my new iPhone would not have the same app.

I'm not going to lie, but the fact that I'd have to walk around and drive places to get Pokémon and other items was a little bit out of my scene. I wanted to be lazy and just catch them while I sat on my bed, but this app is great in the fact that it gets you moving, unlike other video games. "Pokémon Go" had a lot of potential. You'd get to join a team, meet new people and collect pocket monsters as you go. What more could we ask for?

Upon downloading the app I was a little disappointed. I literally downloaded the app for it to tell me that the servers weren't working.

At first I thought that this was a problem with my phone and a friend of mine just told me to be patient. Unfortunately, patience isn't in my skill set. I reluctantly waited an hour and by that time, the servers were up and ready.

Once the app loaded I got to design my character. I made it look as close to me as possible and creating my character was fun. After that I got to choose my starter Pokémon, unfortunately, I didn't realize that's what I was doing at the time. My reception was crappy so I didn't get the intro and I chose Bulbasaur instead of getting Charmander, the one I actually wanted. Luckily, I decided to make a new account and this time, I caught the right starter.

Now came time to go look for Pokémon! I didn't know where to look at first but when you actually get moving you'll come to realize that there are Pokémon everywhere. I am lucky to live in a city with a university in it, (which I happen to attend), so I got to go walk around the campus. There were numerous gyms and PokéStops, it was like a wonderland. Not only that, but there was a lot of other people playing there. I even got to talk to a few people and they were pretty cool. "Pokémon Go" is a cool opportunity to make new friends.

If you've never played Pokémon before then it may be hard to get a grasp of at first, but not impossible. This game is fun and I believe it's definitely worth the hype. You get the opportunity to go out and be more active, while at the same time play in a virtual world. Whether you're a Pokémon fan since birth, or a new found fan, Pokémon Go is definitely worth the try.

An interesting side note, I caught a Ponyta while writing this article.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. You know when you're going through and you hear a song where you're just like "I forgot this existed!" and before you know it, you're singing every word? Yeah, me too. Like, 95% of the time.
