7 Minutes in Heaven (7MIH) is a Chicago based alternative rock band consisting of four members from all across the country. Timmy Rasmussen, who now focuses mainly on vocals and guitar, started the band as a solo project in 2012, but expanded after his first self-release (Get in the Van!, 2013) and added Alex Rodgers (vocals/bass) and Justin Mondzak (guitar). Most recently, they added Brennan Gilbert on drums.

The band was self-managed and self-produced for several years, seeing themselves through the release of their first EP, "The Statement," in 2014 and their follow-up release, "Side Effects," in 2015, which reached the number one spot on Billboard's Alternative New Artists chart. They signed with Rude Records early in 2016 and just released their first label-backed EP, "Symmetry," on September 15th.

According to an interview with TeamRock.com the band finds their influence from bands like Blink-182. Their sound is reminiscent of every great pop punk band of the early the early 2000's. Their lyrics are truthful and honest, which allow the boys to connect deeply with their fan base all around the US and beyond.
