To all of my friends, family and other readers who are Cardinals or White Sox fans: please move your cursor up to the red exit button and gently click it to quit this article, because you are going to read something you most likely do not want to hear.
Now to everyone reading this that is a true loyal Cubs fan, we can all agree that the Cubs are on the up and coming. Â We have waited oh-so-patiently for the day our "lovable losers" finally look like a winning team, and they are on their way to that. Â
With leaders Starlin Castro and Anthony Rizzo, both participants in this year's All Star Game, the Cubs now have a great look at youth with both players only being 24 years old.  The Chicago Cubs are the youngest team in the MLB with the average age of 26.5 years old.  That is something to look forward to.
Now let's get to the specifics.  Theo Epstein became the President of Baseball Operations for the Cubs in October of 2011.  All Cubs fans knew that it was going to take time for Theo's plan to reveal itself.  Fast forward three years and now we see the light at the end of the tunnel.  The farm system in Iowa that the Cubs have is stellar.  With most trades the Cubs themselves making, we have received prospects.  Losing Samardzija was tough for the Cubs as he was really good at something the Cubs struggle in: pitching.  Everything started to make sense on August 5th as Javier Baez made his Cubs debut in Colorado against the Rockies.  It wasn't until the 12th inning until Baez made some noise to secure a win for the Cubbies. Â
Only 22 days later, prospect Jorge Soler made his debut against the Cincinnati Reds and made a pretty good first impression.  Soler is only the 117th player in MLB history to hit a home run on their first major league at bat.  On September 3rd, he became the second player in Cubs history with as many as 10 RBIs in his first seven games as a major leaguer.  With other prospects making a name for themselves such as Arasmendy Alcantara, who has provided solid performance for the Cubs late this season, we are still waiting on other names to make their names in the big leagues like Kris Bryant, Junior Lake and Kyle Shwarber.
So I leave you with this Cubs fans: I have faith. Â Something I haven't had in the Cubbies for over six years. Â Now I am not going to say we are going all the way in 2015, but expect our boys to make a run at the Wild Card and shake up the strong division we're in. Â So don't hang your heads on this below .500 season, because at the end of the day, the future is coming. Â We still have the most beautiful ballpark in all of baseball and soon we will have a great team to go with it. Go Cubs Go!
