Mind Over Matter

Our mind is our reality what we think determines what we see and what we do!

In this time in age, generation after generation people's lives and free will has almost been put to shame. A majority of us exist depending on others do for you instead of working for what you want. To some of us, asking parents for something is the hardest thing and to others its the easiest quest ever. I'm not even talking just about asking things from parents, I mean anyone, a friend or a neighbor. When you are put into this world and have no one what are you going to do? Sit and wait around for someone to come rescue you or get up and fight for your existence?

You need to be able to create a balance between what you do for yourself and what you anticipate others to do for you. I feel the biggest thing people in this generation rely on is money because everything comes with a price. But the people are left to rely on commodities such as food, shelter and clothing. In this day in age you might as well throw in a couple of accessories too.

It was in the year of 2000 when technology had its big boom, everyone became familiar with internet, cellphones, and cable. Kids became less and less familiar with the outside world and became familiar with the current wow! Kids began to ask for all of the new things that society had to offer like the new shoes with wheels known as Heelys or the advanced touch screen iPhone from the year 2007. They saw it and wanted it, so they ran to mommy and daddy and got exactly what they wanted no questions asked.

Growing up, my mom balanced the time for us, it was a routine if you think of it. We came home from school sat down and did homework while ma made food. We ate dinner and then did our chores and after all of our chores were checked over we were finally able to have play time. For every job that you had done you earned a certain amount of money which was placed in your piggy bank at the end of the week. Every couple of months my mom would take us out to buy the toy that we wanted. She had us work for the things that we wanted in life, she said if you work for the things in your life you'll be able to cherish them more. We grew up with a balance we were taught to enjoy everything life gave you equally.

Now a days people think that they cant do things on their own and for that exact reason they aren't going to do anything for themselves. Its all a mind game! So if you're use to getting handed things change it up because you're not always gonna have people there for you to hand you anything and everything you want. Do something for yourself go out and work for the things that you want. You're not going to get anywhere in life if you keep getting things handed to you! If you want something put your mind to it and it will get done!

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

8tracks radio

We all scroll through the radio stations in the car every once in a while, whether its because we lost signal to our favorite one or we are just bored with the same ol' songs every day. You know when you're going through and you hear a song where you're just like "I forgot this existed!" and before you know it, you're singing every word? Yeah, me too. Like, 95% of the time. If you're like me and LOVE some good throwback music, here's a list of songs from every genre that have gotten lost in time, but never truly forgotten.

Summer is hot and humid, and it's almost like summer was made specifically to drink the refreshing, cold, crisp wonderful, delicious, nutritious nectar of the gods. Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
