Starting October 6, McDonald's will satisfy everyone's late-night cravings for their breakfast sandwiches and platters after years of many customers' failed attempts at trying to convince the workers to serve them a few hours earlier.
Although this will affect McDonald's stores nationwide, the all day breakfast menu was being tested in 94 San Diego locations since March 2015 according to USA Today. After that, they moved testing to Mississippi and thanks to their success, now everyone can fill the void (and craving) of wanting an Egg McMuffin at untimely hours.
This may seem like a random change, but it may be due to dropped sales in the past year. On December 2014, McDonald's announced that their sales had fallen by 2.3 percent compared to the previous year.
The McDonald's website does not give much information about the time change or whether new items will be available starting that day (like the new Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Sandwich.) For now, being able to munch on warm Sausage McMuffins with a side of fries is enough great news to keep us going.
