Every wonder why it seems as though everyone gets brought into drama at some point or another? It seems unavoidable! But there is a way that you could decrease the amount of drama you get brought into.

1. The less you say, the less drama will find you.

No seriously, when you just keep your mouth shut, it will take you a lot further. Most of the time, when someone hears a rumor, they assume the worst and go around and spread that rumor. It’s like a domino effect. The lesson is, just don’t say anything unless you want to get involved.

2. Avoid the drama starters.

These people are easy to spot. To be real, they are some of the fakest people you'll meet throughout high school. I say that because those people say they are your friend and talk about you to other people. They'll make you think that you can truly trust them, and they’ll use what you tell them against you.

3. Don’t encourage.

Don’t encourage anyone to continue to talk about something that is obviously none of their business. Don't engage in a conversation that is talking badly about someone else.

4. Don't get involved with social media.

Seriously, don't post something on your status that you wouldn't say to someone's face. Once you hit “post” or “send”, there's no going back. It causes more drama, so think before you hit that button.

5. Stay in your own lane.

Don’t worry about other people. If you hear something about someone else, don't go on and continue to add fuel to the fire. It could lead to much worse.

6. Don't get involved, period.

You don't want to lose friends, so don't pick sides. Let your friends figure it out alone, and don’t choose sides when it’s not even about you.

7. Don’t start it.

This is the most important one. Do not go around being ugly and talking negatively about someone. Don’t be the person that feeds off our other people’s misery. If you are the one starting the drama, people will see how bad of a person you are.

8. Treat others the way you want to be treated.

Be nice. It doesn’t matter if you don't agree with someone, don't treat them poorly. If you see someone sitting alone at lunch or walking alone to class, don’t just talk about them with your clique. Instead, go walk beside them and ask them how their day is going.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.

Which is none other than beer; wonderful cold beer. With summer playing peek-a-boo around the corner while we finish up this semester, it's time to discuss the only important part of summer.
