Last Thursday, Jon Stewart signed off of "The Daily Show" for the final episode after 16 years as the host. As CNN wrote, "He'll leave a gaping void in the world of political satire. He'll also leave a vast legacy: Thousands of jokes. Hundreds of public figures skewered for their hypocrisy." Not to mention, he raised $2.2 million for charity during his final show taping. Stewart brought his iconic wit and humor to Comedy Central, becoming one of America's favorite newsmen, critics, and comedians. During his time, Stewart discussed everything from political figures to the war on women, addressing news in a way that both poked fun and shed light on the seriousness of the issues. "The Daily Show" will return in September with new host, Trevor Noah, but how could we move forward without remembering some of Jon Stewart's best moments?
