7 Low Maintenance Pets

Everyone wants a "furry friend" but not everyone has the time, patience, and money for it.

There is no denying pets put most people in a better mood, even if they're basic ones. Here are seven pets you can have that are both easy to take care of and won't break your bank.

1. Goldfish

Giphy

If there's a pet that everyone can bond over, it's a goldfish. Whether won at a fair or bought from the pet store, many of us have had a goldfish at some point in our lives. The fish itself shouldn't cost more than $10 and doesn't need a filtration system like some fish. A fishbowl, fish food, and non-chlorinated water will suffice. You can add rocks or fake plants for decoration.

2. Hermit crabs

Giphy

Hermit crabs not only can be a friend to you but brings a sense of the ocean into your own home. They usually cost under $5 and change shells after growing, so it'll almost be like a new crab every once in a while. Supplies needed included hermit crab food, a water bowl with a sponge, and shells for them to change into.I've had many simple pets, and these are my personal favorite.

3. Beta fish

Giphy

Similar to goldfish, beta fish don't need a filtration system. They also come in an array of colors. Simple again, they just need a fishbowl, filled with non-chlorinated water, and fish food. Tank decorations are optional.

4. Sea monkeys

Giphy

Including the sea monkeys themselves and their kit, it's usually not more than $20. This includes a tank and their food.

5. Hamsters

Giphy

A hamster costs between $10-$20 (supplies not included) but is a pretty easy-care pet which you can also play with, unlike most of the previous pets. Hamsters need a cage, bedding, food, and water (a wheel is optional).

6. Fancy rat

Giphy

As opposed to a normal rat, this fancy rat you need to pay to come into your home. For an affordable price of $25-$35, you can get two of them. This fancy rat doesn't require a fancyhome, just a cage, some bedding, rat food, and water.

7. Leopard gecko

Giphy

This gecko costs between $20-$40, and requires slightly more care compared to fish, but not as much as a dog or cat. Things you'll additionally need to buy include live crickets (as food), a water bowl, and a heat lamp.

Some of these are more affordable and easy care than others, but all of themmost likely won't require vet bills or having to let them outside to go to the bathroom every hour.

Epic Creation Myths: Norse Origins Unveiled

What happened in the beginning, and how the heavens were set in motion.

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun. The entire cosmos is included in this creation myth, not just the earth but the sun and the moon as well. This will be a short retelling, a summary of the creation myth, somewhat like I did with Hermod's ride to Hel.
