Love-hate relationships are always uncomfortable. Anyone who has finished a season of House of Cards faster than you should've knows that you can't get enough of Frank Underwood. One moment he does something irritating and the next you find yourself wishing you could dominate just as Frank Underwood does. He's the fierce character that everyone loves to hate.
So do we love him or hate him?
We love that he's career driven. We hate that he's desperate.
So what if he has lied, cheated and stomped on the livelihood of others for his own good? Heck, you can even add murder to the list. But you can't take away the fact that he knows exactly what he wants and will do anything to get there.
We love that he's confident. We hate that he's selfish.
Let's be honest, he wouldn't have made it this far if he didn't believe he could get there. But with great power comes great responsibility...and it's all for Frank Underwood.
We love that he's married to a fiery woman. We hate that they're equally as evil.
He's a badass. She's a badass. Makes sense.
We love that he values loyalty. We hate that he isn't loyal.
He will do anything for Freddy, but when someone gets in his way of what he wants...adiós.
We love his sidebars. We hate his sidebars.
Sometimes, they're just weird..
We love that he's President.
Need I say more?
The verdict is still undecided, but I think we can all agree that we're anxious to see more of Kevin Spacey in the Oval Office. The new season is expected to be released early 2016.
Welcome back Underwood, welcome back.
