Little Humans Stealing Hearts One Post At A Time

"Humans of New York," the wildly popular photo blog found on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter has captured hearts around the world through it's hilarious, honest and sometimes heartbreaking posts. The "little humans" (as photographer Brandon Stanton likes to call them), often featured on the blog are bound to add a smile to even the worst of days; their imaginations, thoughtful words, and cute faces are limitless.

1. "He likes when I give him hugs."

The outfits, the smushy face, the completely accurate depiction of brother-sister love. Too cute.

2. "What was the happiest moment of your life?"

"I don't think I have one yet but it's probably coming up and it's going to be a surprise."

Hope in it's purest form. I love it.

3. "He lets us eat more dessert than mom does."

You rock, Dad.

4. "Audrey Hepburn"

So fab. I'll take that outfit ten sizes bigger, please & thank you.

5. "They do nothing but fight at home. But they stick together when we're out in the world."

There is no better way to describe the bond of siblings.

6. "We're going to Grandma and Grandpa's house."

"What do you do at Grandma and Grandpa's house?"

"Anything I want."

What happens at Grandma and Grandpa's, stays at Grandma and Grandpa's.

7. "What's the best piece of advice your dad has ever given you?"

"No excuses."

I'm sure his dad is proud beyond words.

8. "I want to be a mailman so I can let people know when it's their birthday."

Anddddd my heart melts.

9. "The most important thing about swimming is to not be afraid."

"What advice do you have for people who are afraid?"

"Just don't be afraid. Or you'll drown."

Kids are so often wise beyond their years.

10. "When I got Student of The Month, Ms. Gabriel gave me two certificates, one pencil, and a cupcake. Then she told me that I didn't have to do any homework that week, but I told her: 'I want to do my homework!'"

The best attitude. You go girl!

11. "Spider-Man does like this."

May possibly be the coolest kid on the block.

12. "Do you know what you want to be when you grow up?"

"A train."

Me too, buddy, me too.

13. "One time we had a project in class, and my friend said he didn't want to be my partner, and I got an A+ and he just got an A."

Killin' it.

14. "What's your favorite thing about your mom?"

"She nags me a lot. And I know that doesn't sound like a good thing, but that means she loves me."

Nothing better than a little mom loving!

The thoughtfulness and simplicity embodied by these tiny humans can be found within us all. They are providing laughter, sharing big imaginations and keeping hearts young through being nothing but themselves. "Humans of New York," you rock.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
