In the busyness of life, we forget a lot of things. The things that are the most important in our lives. Sometimes even life itself. It's easy to get wrapped up in the craziness that is our lives. We work, go to school, have social lives, and anything else that life throws our way. Sometimes an unexpected tragedy hits, throwing us off guard and forcing us to realize just how precious life is.

Emily Regennitter was a beautiful young women who went to my high school, Cole Valley Christian in Boise, Idaho. She was about two years older than me. I never was very close with her; I was new to the school at the time, and she was an upperclassmen. However, I didn't need to know her well to get a sense of who she was. She was a Godly women who's laugh and smile was truly infectious. She lit up any room she was in. When scrolling through Facebook, I saw a picture of her with a caption requesting prayer for her. She was in a tragic car wreck. I stopped in that moment and prayed for this beautiful 21-year-old to be healed. A of couple hours later, the news was released that God took his precious daughter to be with Him.

Soon social media erupted with posts and photos talking about this gorgeous young woman, as people shared memories of her life. All were shocked to hear this tragic news of her passing. My heart broke as I prayed for her family and friends who had just lost their friend, and daughter.

Stories such as Emily's make you stop and think about just how truly precious life can be. You never know when a tragedy such as this will strike you or the people surrounding our lives. It is during the time of grieving when family and friends come together to celebrate the lives of the lost.

Remember to cherish your loves ones; take time from our busy lives and be surrounded by those we love. Life is precious and we are fragile. God has a plan for all of us and we must pray and trust in Him and He will bring us peace and comfort in times of pain and hardships. We are children of God and He is our Father, He never disappoints and He will forever be our great and mighty Savior. I continue to lift my prayers up for Emily's family, and I hope they will find peace and comfort during this dark time through the power of prayer and Jesus Christ.

In loving memory of Emily Regennitter.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
