Hey Friend,
You're amazing. I love you. I appreciate you. I value you.
We haven't known each other our whole lives but I know that our friendship has only flourished for the amount of time we've known and grown together during one of the most vital parts of our lives.
I know it's not easy to be my friend, and this past year has really proved it. It has been an emotionally exhausting past few months. The reality of it is that friends come and go, relationships end, people change so thank you for choosing to stay.
I believe that we became friends for a particular reason at a time where we both needed someone to be there. And from there, we've only gotten closer. Our friendship will always be everything to me and more. It will never be convenient and I will never take you for granted. I am grateful that I have a friend like you in my life. A thank you does not feel like enough and I am sorry if I don't say it enough.
Here are a few reasons as to why I love that you are my friend and that you are in my life.
Thank you for running away with me, no questions asked, no matter how ridiculous my ideas and suggestions are (and that we can end up laughing about it the next day.)
Thank you for taking care of me when I couldn't do it myself.
Thank you for giving me a hug and letting me cry when and all has been said and done.
Thank you for being my parent and telling me the cold hard truth when I need to hear it. I'm glad that I can be needy and dependent on you.
Thank you for not judging me and loving me unconditionally.
Thank you for understanding me, my insecurities and mood swings that follow.
Thank you for distracting me when I didn't want to deal with reality.
Thank you for knowing me when I forgot myself and for helping me to remember.
Thank you for making time for me, whether in person, texts, calls, snapchats and other forms of communication.
Most of all, thank you for being here when everyone else has left and for making sure that I don't feel alone.
For all those reasons and more- thank you.
Sincerely,
Your Friend (who loves you oh so much)
