In the recent light of the victory of the New England Patriots over the Atlanta Falcons making Thomas Edward Brady the only Quarterback in the NFL history with the most Superbowl wins: 5 rings. A little before the victory of Brady and the Pats over the Falcons, the NBA also celebrated a historic win when LeBron and the Cavs beat the Golden State Warriors. Now the question arises, how can we compare the two ?
A key point has to be made before any comparison can be made between the two, Brady is currently holding the position as the best Quarterback in the NFL by the historic number of Superbowl wins and by leading in all stats in the NFL for Quarterbacks. LeBron James is currently breaking and moving up the lists of stats for the NBA. Another key point to be made is that in the NFL a player is only in competition with other players that share the same position, so it makes no sense to compare a Quarterback with a Running Back. In the NBA players can in a certain sense, "do it all" and makes it a little difficult to classify a player a the all time best.
Interesting enough, both players share a mutual respect and admiration towards each other and express it though social media:
Before the Superbowl started, the media had an entire day of questioning both teams and in one of the questions asked to Tom Brady, the question came up of which NBA Star would he want on his team. His answer was:
The most talked about comparison is the recently won championship that both Brady and LeBron won this year. The key comparisons begin with the fact that both teams began with a losing chance since both teams were losing the game and series. LeBron and the Cavaliers were 3-1 to the Golden State Warriors and Brady and the Patriots were 21-3 against the Falcons in the First Half. Both teams had to make a never before comeback in order to win the championship.
After witnessing history being made by these two legends and there amazing teams, it really begs the question: who is better, or who is the "GOAT" and LeBron answered that question since he recognized the greatness of Tom Brady and publicly called him the GOAT. LeBron has a tough year ahead and has a couple more years to break a couple of more records and a couple of more NBA Championships to win; but there is one fact we cannot deny; LeBron James is currently the best All Around Basketball Player in the NBA since he is top 10 in 5 of the the NBA Stats of all time.
