Are you Italian? Or perhaps, have you forgotten how Italian you are? Here is a small checklist to remind yourself of your Italian-ness.

1. Shouting is a perfectly normal way of communication

2. Asking your Grandmother for a "snack" looks a little like this...

3. Getting spanked with the wooden spoon was your form of punishment, you knew you were in trouble when it came out

4. You were as tall as your Grandmother by the age of seven

5. It is impossible for you to talk without using your hands

6. Adding condiments to your parents or grandparents food is highly frowned upon

7. There is, at least, one day of the week dedicated to pasta or pizza for dinner

8. During the holidays, there were always at least one of these around the house

9. Using this is forbidden

10. You know how to make some really good pasta sauce

11. You got these during Easter

12. You eat your salad at the end of the meal

13. Coffee isn't complete without a side of biscotti

14. You have a really bad temper

15. You have a big family and you're all very close

16. You're a pro when it comes to twirling your spaghetti

17. Saying you are "full" is not okay at grandma's house

19. "Just one" looks a little like this...

18. You know how to EAT

If you were able to relate to some or all of these...congratulations! You are most likely Italian! Although growing up in an Italian family can be a little crazy at times (to say the least), it definitely has it's perks, so you should be proud! I know I am. Pasta for breakfast? Yes, please!

Arrivederci Amico!

The Norse Creation Myth

Now, I have the everlasting joy of explaining the Norse creation myth. To be honest, it can be a bit kooky, so talking about it is always fun.
