Have you ever wondered how Hollywood actor, writers, and comedians started out? Some of their stories are pretty fascinating. These people we know of and appreciate for their entertaining work usually have much humbler beginning than you would expect. Getting to know the people behind popular shows and movies gives a different insight into why their work is what it is and makes it that much more meaningful. "Kevin Pollak's Chat Show" is an hour-long podcast and YouTube series in which Kevin Pollak interviews comedians, actors, and writers about their career from its beginning to where they are now.
The show has a professional feel to it, and each show is very well prepared. The interview questions are written ahead of time and the team impressively and thoroughly researches the guests. It is hosted by comedian Kevin Pollak with Samm Levine, who is most well-known for his role as Neal Schweiber in "Freaks and Geeks," and Jaime Fox who both act as side-kicks to Pollak. Pollak has acted in a number of TV shows and movies including "The Usual Suspects," "Garfunkel & Oates," and "Columbus Circle." He also has a stand-up comedy special called "The Littlest Suspect."
The show has had over 200 episodes. Some of the guests include Jenny Slate, Jon Hamm, Bob Odenkirk, Bryan Cranston, Larry David, Kristen Schaal, Garfunkel and Oates, Lisa Kudrow, and many others. You are bound to find a handful of interviews featuring someone you know and adore for their talent. My two favorite episodes are with Damon Lindelof, co-creator of "Lost," and Dan Harmon, creator of "Community."
